
Karen Benvin Ransom is an Associate Broker with Houlihan Lawrence in Bedford, NY. She is a Westchester native who has lived in the Town of Bedford & has been a Business Leader for over 40 years.
She was the youngest agent in NYS at the age of 19 when she first got her NYS Real Estate License while she was in College. She then started a Smoked Salmon & Seafood company, Homarus, Inc, in the backyard with her fiancee when she was 22 years old.
She attended Transfiguration School, Tarrytown; Our Lady of Victory Academy, Dobbs Ferry and Manhattanville College, Purchase. In 1988 she was Awarded Manhattanville's highest Honor - The Castle Award for Entrepreneurship.
There were numerous Articles & Awards for her Entrepreneurship. She is quite the Marketer! Her motto is "Service, Service, Service"
She has served as a volunteer for The Katonah Museum of Art and was given the "Volunteer of the Year Award" in 2015 for her Years of Service. She has been a Docent at Caramoor in The Rosen House and assists The Katonah Women's Civic Organization.
Karen has raised her children through local Pre-Schools and the Katonah/Lewisboro Schools. She had served as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader.
